The Greek word doesn’t mean study. It means diligence or to be diligent. It would certainly include study, but the word studious isn’t the idea, though it certainly would include that. But they could have said be diligent to show thyself approved. Correct

I’ve looked that up before and I can’t recall the Hebrew exactly. But it has the idea of land boundaries that were set when they conquered the land of Canaan and they were to remain within the families. Unclear

In order to. It shows cause and effect. He’s quoting God on this. You take heed to your ways so that thy children will walk before met, etc. So he’s saying that, keeping your promise, if I walk before thee, the people will stay correct. As goes the leader, so go the people. He was bringing God’s promise to him, understanding that he had to do something in order for it to be fulfilled in their day. Incorrect
“Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.”
