So that would be referring to the previous phrase: “”there shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel.”” Solomon is praying and he is reminding God of his promise to David. I guess he’s connecting that promise with this part. He says that the children take heed to their way. I guess the “”so that”” is just connecting to the promise; that God made a promise to David and then if God keeps his promise, then I suppose that would allow his children to continue to walk before God and honor God. | Incorrect |
